VIEW PROJECTWhile developing curriculum and programs is important to the development of Hawaiʻi's youth we also see the development of community sites, which focus on providing the right outdoor atmosphere to learn and build upon the various peace initiatives within the Hawaiian community. The Peace Garden Initiative Program provides funding for schools that wish to beautify their campus and provide a place of peace, reflection, and positive learning for the students.
VIEW PROJECTThe Hawaiʻi Pacific Model United Nations will be held in November at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center. PacMUN was initially created to bring together the existing Hawaiʻi schools to a central conference for collaboration and expansion of the Hawaiʻi Model UN community.
VIEW PROJECTCommunity members are invited to take part in the opportunity to learn and develop their own mindfulness practice, and learn ways in which to relay their knowledge to others through various practical techniques, thus allowing them to relate to themselves, their peers, their communities and the world with a kind, nonjudgmental perspective.
VIEW PROJECTThe overall purpose for the Stevens Global Leadership Program is to educate and inspire Hawaii students to become globally competent, engaged citizens who promote peace through action.
VIEW PROJECTThe foundation was established to help the students of Hawaii participate in creative projects concerning peace. Its founders Stephen E. and Isabella H. Stevens lived all over the world, but fell in love with Hawai’i. They were adamant that Hawaii’s unique location and blended culture is a shining example of how the broader world should work and live together.
